Programmer Analyst

Created a web based data entry and reporting system, utilizing Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005, Oracle 10g and Crystal Reports XI. The information the system provides helps educators focus instruction for children in greatest need.

Customized and managed Cognos ReportNet portal for access by the regional districts, as well as created many reports for the districts to verify their data before further processing by the State Department of Education.

Maintained test scoring software for Suffolk, Southern Westchester and Mid Hudson Regional Information Centers within a team comprised of two other programmers.

Programmer Analyst

Administered and maintained Linux machine which served as an FTP server, a file server using SAMBA, and a mySQL database server.

Automated the retrieval, storage, and processing of SEC filings (e.g. Forms 3, 4, 5, 144; Schedules 13-G, 13-D) with a system based on Compaq hardware using Linux. The processing was accomplished with Perl scripts and utilized mySQL for the backend.

Designed and developed a report distribution system, in Visual Basic, to automatically transfer reports to respective subscribers, based on client and schedule information stored on a SQL Server backend.

Created a data transformation utility to parse excel spreadsheets from multiple financial institutions for import into an existing system.

Streamlined operation tasks for the legacy data entry and storage system, utilizing many Perl and shell scripts, under the AIX 4.2 operating system.
